Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her assist and determination to bettering South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) products and services through an engagement while using the agency's senior administrators at a strategic organizing session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the many social grant beneficiaries, who excelled within the 2024 matric exams.
Of the 724 156 full-time learners who registered with the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% of the registered pupils during the education and learning sector.
These learners reached a commendable pass rate of 86%.
"This indicates the financial commitment government is building within the lives of bad and susceptible kids is yielding a good affect in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe reported.
Reflecting on latest achievements, the Minister highlighted vital milestones and ongoing priorities. She committed to urgently addressing The problem of srd status check everlasting leadership appointments and the lack of staff at most area offices.
